Installation Note / Drum Modification

Using this Aura Light with your Rav Vast drum requires removing the wooden plug on the bottom of your drum. The disk can be removed by hand with the assistance of a gentle heat source, such as a hair dryer, to soften the glue. Once warmed, the plug can be easily removed, and any remaining glue gently rubbed away.

How will removing the plug affect the sound of my drum?

Removal of the wooden plug may potentially change how your drum sounds to a minor degree. I personally have not perceived any noticeable difference removing the plug makes, but I suppose if you were to plan on using your drum in a recording studio or if you have highly attuned ears, you may want consider this.

Can my Rav Vast plug be reinstalled?

Yes, the plug can be reattached using silicon or rubber glue.
